A protection spell is cast over the ground. A series of rituals are performed, energy is channeled and collected into a handmade Energy Box, an object exclusive to The Aetherius Society, who I have been working alongside since 2012. They believe this object to be capable of storing healing energy which they release onto the world during yearly pilgrimages. Using this format as a blueprint I modified their ideology to create an Energy Box that can hold physical objects that are representations of personal trauma. The images cast into this box were taken by my godmother Sally Tagg and published in 1998, without my permission in her photographic book titled Up Top Down Under: photographs of unique New Zealanders. No permission was sought by myself for the (re) use of these images.​
